"The Dome of Light" 「光之穹頂」

大型公共藝術「光之穹頂」是出自於國際知名義大利藝術家水仙大師(Maestro Narcissus Quagliata)之手設計。這個大型的裝置藝術創作「光之穹頂」，用了4500片的玻璃彩繪，再組裝而成，歷經4年半的時間才完成這全球最大的玻璃藝術作品，巨大且絢爛的彩繪玻璃，讓光穿透展現出不同的景象及色彩變化，相當漂亮。作品分成四個主題：水、土、光、火；整體設計象徵著宇宙生命輪迴的過程。「光之穹頂」，位於高雄捷運美麗島站。 美麗島捷運站被評為世界第二美麗的地鐵站。

"The Dome of Light" received an honorable second place, due to its immensity and artistic message. The glass masterpiece designed by international renowned Italian artist Maestro Narcissus Quagliata, with a diameter of 30meters, which was composed of 4500 pieces of hand-made stained glass, and is the world's largest glass arts masterpiece. It features penetrating light through evolving scenes. There are four subjects to the work: water, earth, light, and fire, all of which depict the process of the universe that signifies the force of transmigrations of life. This gorgeous piece of art work stands in the midst of the Formosa Boulevard Station, Kaohsiung Metro. Formosa Boulevard Station has been ranked the second most beautiful MRT station in the world.
