Drumming up self-confidence and hope through Love Kids Workshop

From the focused look on their faces and absolute dedication while playing the taiko drums, these kids appear no different from any other; however, they are actually special needs kids who are part of a parent-child performance troupe. Special needs kids find it difficult to express themselves through words and drumming gives them another way in which to communicate with the world.

Love Kids Workshop allows children to develop skills at their own pace. Many of the kids in the troupe initially found it challenging to socialize, but performing has enhanced their self-confidence and helped them gradually embrace life. Of course, seeing them make such progress has been a wonderfully gratifying experience for their parents. The members of the group take care of each other and work together to resolve difficulties. For them, Love Kids Workshop is not only a performance troupe but also a second home.
