2021 PeoPo Citizen Journalism Awards Presentation

The awards ceremony for this year's PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform saw a wonderfully cooperative and enthusiastic attendance from citizen journalists. The Chairperson and President of Taiwan PTS also attended this great annual event to show encouragement and recognition for the contribution of citizen journalists.

As promised by the Chairperson last year, the number of awards in each category was increased to five, which was well received by citizen journalists. This year, the Chairperson promised to add a category for teenagers in the coming year.

This year's Appreciation Award was presented to two veteran citizen journalists; Shi Zeng-wei (施增與), a seasoned ecological tour guide and teacher who has long been concerned with the natural ecology of Taiwan's Wenshan region; and Radish Head (蘿蔔頭), who has more than 10 years of experience as a citizen journalist. The Appreciation Award is PeoPo's way to show appreciation for hard work and passion in the sphere of citizen journalism. Through their tireless reporting, stories from the nooks and crannies of Taiwan have been shared far and wide, helping advance PeoPo's motto of "Deep Roots in the Land, Voice to the World."

2021 PeoPo公民新聞獎頒獎

  PeoPo平台在12月19日舉行頒獎典禮，公民記者們都非常配合並踴躍出席，公共電視董事長及總經理也到場參與這一年一度的盛會，給予公民記者鼓勵與肯定。

  過去每年的公民新聞獎每個組別都只有3名得獎名額，但每年都有遺珠之憾的作品，去年公視董事長承諾增加獎項，每個組別得獎名額增加為5名，獲得公民記者一片好評，今年董事長更加碼承諾明年會新增青少年的組別。

PeoPo平台也特別在典禮中頒發感謝獎，由長期關注文山區自然生態議題的資深生態導覽老師施增與，以及擁有超過10年公民記者資歷的蘿蔔頭獲獎，以此獎項鼓勵他們對公民新聞的耕耘與熱情，讓各地的故事，藉由影像報導傳遍每個角落，延續「在地深根‧向外發聲」理念。
