Damage to heritage sites in Taiwan Folk Village comes under investigation

On the 20th of August 2007, Changhua County Government tentatively placed seven buildings within Taiwan Folk Village on a list of architectural heritage sites: New Beitou Station (新北投車站); Beidou Matsu Temple (北斗奠安宮); Chiayi’s Liao Clinic (嘉義廖氏診所); Madou Lin Family Residence (麻豆林家古厝); Douliu Dragon (斗六一條龍); Chiayi Dragon (嘉義一條龍); and Lugang Shi Family Residence (鹿港施家古厝). However, last year, during the period while property rights were being transferred, the buildings suffered serious damages. On April 1st of this year, Taiwan Cultural Heritage Sites Protection Alliance (台灣文化資產守護聯盟) convened a public meeting to demand the immediate restoration and repair of the damaged buildings.

台灣民俗村7處暫定古蹟何去何從公聽會 ＆實地訪查

台灣民俗村園區內，「新北投車站」、「北斗奠安宮」、「嘉義廖氏診所」、「麻豆林家古厝」、「斗六一條龍」、「嘉義一條龍」及「鹿港施家古厝」等7棟建築物，於民國96年8月20日被彰化縣政府列為暫定古蹟，去年民俗村產權易主，於交接空窗期間7處暫定古蹟遭受嚴重毀損。今年4月1日由台灣文化資產守護聯盟在彰化縣議會舉辦關於台灣民俗村7處暫定古蹟的公聽會，主要的訴求是立即保護和修復這7座毀損中的古蹟。
