Yunlin also has a hall for civic group use (House of Citizen-Memorial Hall of Attendance)
With limited financial resources, Taiwanese civic groups wishing to hold events are often faced with a heavy burden when paying for venue fees. Providing low rental rates to civic groups that wish to hold activities or press conferences, a hall established by Taipei City Government next to the Legislative Yuan is the first choice for NGOs in Taipei. Yunlin also has an open space available to civic groups - House of Citizen-Memorial Hall of Attendance. With clean lines, red brick walls and a black tile roof, this historic building is typical from the Japanese Taisho period (1926) and brimming with a rich cultural atmosphere. The House of Citizen-Memorial Hall of Attendance was officially opened in 2011. It is hoped that the hall will highlight history and culture, provide citizens with a living space for art and culture, and have multi-layered significance to participating citizens.
