Taijiang senior citizens hold ‘I Can’t Paint’ exhibition
A dozen or so senior citizens attending the one-year ‘Taijiang Can Paint’ class at Taijiang branch of Tainan Community University have held a painting exhibition called ‘I Can’t Paint’, a first for all members of the group. The school said the ‘Taijiang Can Paint’ class encourages senior citizens to return to the local temple and make use of free time during the day to study painting. Using images from the life experiences of Taijiang locals, like milkfish and the childhood memory of carrying water, the class created the first set of Taijiang ‘Line’ images, receiving positive feedback from all walks of life. This latest exhibition, ‘I Can’t Paint’, displays the originality and creativity of this group of elderly locals and has left exhibition visitors astonished.

台江阿公阿嬤開不會畫畫的畫展
社區大學台江分校「台江很繪班」十幾位阿公阿嬤,經過一學年的學習,正式舉行這一輩子第一次的人生畫展─「不會畫畫」的畫展。社大台江分校表示,「台江很繪」班鼓勵在地阿公阿嬤重回大廟,利用白天時間來朝皇宮椪舍學堂上課學畫,他們以台江在地生活驗,例如虱目魚、台江擔水印象,創作第一套台江生活意象line貼圖,也獲得各界好評,此次進一步舉辦「不會畫畫」的畫展,展現台江阿公阿嬤的素人畫家創作力,令人讚嘆。
