Finding love in the middle of the glimmering city – Bethel Children’s Center

Du Xin-yi (杜馨怡) is a 20-year-old young woman from the Rukai tribe. Early each morning, she hurries to Bethel Children’s Center (伯特利兒童照顧中心) in Wugu, where she looks after a group of kids as though they were her younger brothers and sisters. The center is her current place of work and also the place she has called her 2nd home since childhood. 

Lu Qiu-yue (盧秋月), who is head of Bethel Children’s Center and the woman who cared for Xin-yi as she grew up, established the center thirty years ago after arriving in Wugu. With a desire to help kids in the local area, most of who are from families with special circumstances, Lu Qiu-yue became like a second mother to them, taking care of their every need. Witnessing the personality of countless children change for the worse because they lacked parents to accompany them growing up, Lu Qiu-yue became convinced that setting up a 24-hour care center was the only solution.

By establishing Bethel Children’s Center, Lu Qiu-yue has provided many children much-needed love and a warm place to call home, something that has made a deep impression Du Xin-yi. After graduating with a childcare qualification, Du Xin-yi decided to return to Bethel Children’s Center and accompany the children. It seems that the love given out at Bethel Children’s Center has returned in the form of Xin Yi and other people, who want to pass on to the next generation what they received in their youth.

照顧馨怡長大的，是伯特利照顧中心的大家長盧秋月，三十多年前盧秋月來到五股成立了伯特利，一切就是從一顆單純想要幫助孩子的心開始，他像是這個家中的母親一般，為所有孩子打點一切。
伯特利照顧中心的孩子，多半來自特殊的家庭環境，盧秋月看見孩子們因缺乏父母陪伴，個性變的叛逆甚至誤入歧途，更加確信了開設24小時照顧中心的重要性。

盧秋月打造的伯特利，讓許多孩子找到了溫暖的家，而這樣愛的理念也深深地影響了杜馨怡，二專幼保科畢業之後，她決定回到伯特利，成為陪伴孩子們的老師。在伯特利感受到的愛，彷彿是一個循環，這份愛也將透過，馨怡與其他夥伴們，繼續傳遞下去。
