Speedy local Beitou delivery service provides friendly human touch

   A fleet of scooters in Taipei’s Beitou provides a very special kind of express delivery service. As soon as the phone rings, delivery couriers ride off to serve local clients, something they have been doing for over half a century. Delivering local residents to the MRT station, taking them shopping, helping busy families shuttle children to and from school, and delivering various goods are all daily missions that the couriers gladly carry out. Although business is not as brisk as in the past, delivery riders continue to be passionate about the job and maintain this unique part of the local heritage.

  台北市北投有一項特別的機車快遞服務。一聲電話響起，機車快遞出發為顧客服務，這是走過北投半世紀的人文特色。 機車快遞主要是接送客人來往捷運站，以及到市場購物的居民，還有幫助繁忙的家庭接孩子們上下課，甚至連送貨服務，都使命必達。雖然現在生意不如過往，但機車司機們繼續秉持熱情，傳承這份特有的地方特色。
