Providing free haircuts for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Following a hairstyling course at Songshan Community College, a group of students formed the Haircut Volunteer Union and began to provide free haircuts to people in nursing homes and hospices. The union’s instructor said that although the work can be tough, sharing one’s skills and giving back to society through serving people allows members to feel the unparalleled joy of helping others.

台北市松山社區大學有一個義剪社，社員們在社區大學跟老師學習美髮的技藝後，組成義務服務的社團，受邀到老人安養院，收容中心等地，替有需要的民眾服務。社團指導老師表示，每次出來義剪頭髮，雖然辛苦但內心是非常快樂的，因為他們是有專長的志工，能夠奉獻自己的技藝，替有需要的人服務，感受到幫助人是最快樂的事。
