The “Adorable Piano Kid” touching the world

Born blind with retinal detachment, Xu Zhe-cheng (許哲誠), aka “Adorable Piano Kid,” has never seen the world. But though God deprived him of his eyesight, Xu Zhe-cheng has been blessed with a keen sense of hearing and touch. Since young, Xu Zhe-cheng has been naturally gifted in music with an exceptional ability to differentiate tones and immediately play anything he hears on the piano.

Xu Zhe-cheng's goal in music is neither to flaunt his abilities nor to become famous, but instead to touch people’s hearts. This visually impaired pianist has found meaning in life from the black and white keys, infusing rich color into his dark world through his musical dream.

以「可愛的鋼琴小男孩」自稱的許哲誠，一出生即因視網膜剝離而雙眼失明，從來沒有看過這個世界的模樣。上天雖然剝奪他的視力，卻給了他敏銳的聽覺與觸覺。從小對音樂極有天分，有絕對的音感特質，可以很清楚的知道每個音階的位置，將所聽到的聲音，轉換成指尖上跳躍的音符，彈奏出令人動容的音樂。

許哲誠學音樂最主要的目的，其實不是要炫耀自己的程度，也不是為了出名，而是為了讓人家感受到發自內心的悸動。在黑白鍵之間，許哲誠找到自己存在的價值，原來處在一個只有黑暗世界裡的視障鋼琴家的夢，也可以這麼繽紛多彩。
