The re-emergence of the Yuejin Harbor Lantern Festival

Yanshui in Tainan is one of the oldest towns in Taiwan. It was originally populated by the Pingpu people, but later many outsiders migrated to the area. The natural lagoon and undulating topography of Yanshui are mainly due to a no longer existing lagoon called Daofeng Inner Sea, which made it easy for boats to take refuge. With 400 years of history, Yanshui is rich in historic buildings, such as the Octagonal Pavilion and the Wangye Temple. Today, the city also boasts a wonderful atmosphere at Chinese New Year with light shows and artistic water shows, creating an entirely new public image for Yuejin Harbor.

月津港燈節的風華再現

  台南鹽水為台灣歷史悠久的城鎮之一，這裡原本都是平埔族人，後來有大量的外人移入。主要是因鹽水面臨倒風內海的關係而造成天然的潟湖與地形彎曲，從前的船就很容易可以從海上來到這個地方，所以被稱為月津港。

  400年歷史的鹽水保留著豐富的歷史建築，如八角樓、王爺廟等。此外，現今的鹽水也保有農曆過年的氛圍，透過燈會結合水影與光的藝術創作，讓月津港以不一樣的面貌展現在眾人面前。
