Work Progess on Bailu Brige – 4th Month

On the upper reaches of the Libian River, in Pingtung County, river dredging, road building and bridge building are all consecutively underway after Laiyi Township’s Bailu Bridge was destroyed in the Typhoon Morakot disaster. Work was scheduled to commence on the 5th of August last year, however due to a number of factors the commencement was delayed, and the real start date for work was not until the 3rd of December.

This delayed start to the building work has meant that only 3.5 per cent of the original scheduled progress has been met, and correspondingly, recently the pace has been stepped up in order to try and finish the bridge before the flood season commences. The bridge being built has a total span of 190 meters, 8 meters wide and has two supporting pillars. The construction firm carrying out the work has expressed its complete confidence that the bridge floor can be finished before the start of the flood season.

白鷺橋復建工程第四個月進度

屏東縣林邊溪上游力力溪段，有河床疏濬、道路修築與橋樑復建等三個工程進行中，遭受八八水災沖毀的來義鄉白路大橋復建部份，從去年8月5日開工到現在，預定總進度約為3.5％，最近正在積極趕工，希望能趕在今年的汛期之前，把進度做到橋面。復建的橋樑總長度是190公尺，橋面8公尺寬，擁有2個橋柱，由於某些因素拖延開工，真正開工日期是去(99)年的12月3日，營造廠商表示，有信心在今年的汛期之前，把進度趕到橋面絕對沒問題。
