Painting Taipei City: Cultural Sector Collaborates to Enhance Taipei North Gate’s Charm

This year, Taipei celebrates its 140th anniversary. In commemoration, the Chinese Global Multicultural Arts Exploration Association hosted the "Summer Journey" cultural event, inviting over 40 domestic artists to Taipei North Gate. Under the theme of "Beimen(Taipei North Gate)," artists presented poetry recitals, dances, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy, nail art, pith paper-plant craft and more, weaving art into the fabric of everyday life.

The event united artists from diverse fields to display their skills in various artistic forms, promoting inclusiveness and collective success. Participants also visited cultural heritage sites around Taipei North Gate, such as the Zhongshan Hall on Yanping South Road and Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines, using literature and art performances to keep Taipei City, with its 140-year history, vibrant and strong.

彩繪台北城 藝文界共創北門風華

今年適逢台北建城140周年，中華全球多元藝術展拓學會，日前舉辦“夏之旅”藝文活動，邀請國內藝文界40多人，在台北城北門廣場，以「北門」為創作主題，發表詩歌吟唱、舞蹈、陶藝、繪畫、書法、美甲、蓪草…等作品，把藝文結合古蹟，將創作帶入生活。

這次活動號召不同類型的主題藝術家，變化不同的展演方式，卻又能相互包容、相互成就。活動也參訪北門周邊文化傳承的景點，像是位於延平南路的中山堂、順益原住民博物館等，帶領大家透過文學及藝術展演，讓具有140年歷史的台北城持續發光發熱。
