Open Living Lab and Readcorner Bookstore Embrace Childlike Wonder and Lifelong Learning

Located in Yonghe District, New Taipei City, the Open Living Lab was originally the accounting center for the Ministry of National Defense. In recent years, New Taipei City government transformed this former military barracks into a revitalized public space, enriching the area with green spaces for the benefit of local residents and community groups. A key feature of this site is the Readcorner Bookstore, a unique establishment that neither sells, lends, nor allows bookcrossing.

Readcorner Bookstore has partnered with the community to make this reading space suitable for all age groups, fostering community engagement through a variety of activities. On holidays, visitors can immerse themselves in an atmosphere of childlike wonder and warmth, reminiscent of the enchanting nature of the books it houses.
