Behind the scenes of ONTV's weekly production
PeoPo News is the result of dedicated teamwork from both citizen journalists and the PeoPo staff every week. Host and producer Zi-yuan introduces the production process of ONTV.
Starting on Monday, Zi-yuan reviews available reports to identify which can be transformed into PeoPo News pieces. She then sends emails to citizen journalists requesting submissions. If any articles arrive late, she follows up with phone calls to remind them. By Wednesday, the videos are converted and handed over to the editors. Early Thursday, the editing process begins, and by Friday, the team gathers in the studio to record the PeoPo News program.
Don’t underestimate this brief four-minute segment; it not only gives a voice to citizen journalists but also allows viewers to connect with important local issues.
