Founded by Lin Hsiao-tung and three classmates with entrepreneurial dreams, Yuziqing leverages online platforms to sell seasonal fresh fish while raising awareness about the importance of sustainable fishing practices.
Coming from a fishing family, Lin Hsiao-tung observed that many fishermen overharvest for profit, often freezing their catch in large quantities. This practice not only wastes marine resources but also leads to unsold products, forcing fishermen to sell at significantly lower prices and jeopardizing their livelihoods.
The Yuziqing team believes that promoting sustainable fishing is a long-term goal. They are committed to advocating for sustainable practices to help more people understand its significance.
