The Cardboard Box King’s Garden of Creativity has the only ‘paper’ restaurant in the whole of Taiwan. General manager, Huang Fang-liang has put his heart and soul into the field of paper art, from transformations in the traditional paper industry, to developments in paper craft as well as gathering a great deal of know-how regarding the art of printing. In the purpose build area you’ll find myriad everyday items all manufactured from paper, from wallets and hats to drinks packaging and an assortment of other small boxes. Outside of the public’s sheer amazement at the variety of paper items on show, a number of tourists conveyed their concern about the amount of paper being used.
General manager, Huang Fang-liang dispelled any concerns on this level after he explained the operating principles underpinning their establishment. Paper pulp is regarded as a crop and therefore after ascertaining the quantity that will be required for production, an appropriate number of trees are then planted. Huang Fang-liang’s creative inspiration has drawn a ceaseless stream of tourists who come to marvel at the amazing creations. He expressed his hope that tourists come not only to have fun, but also to learn something about the paper industry and the process of paper manufacture – something he feels both a passion and responsibility for.

傳統產業的轉變-紙箱王創意園區(公民記者 李小tur 報導)
紙箱王創意園區，是全台灣唯一一間的紙餐廳，總經理黃芳亮全心投入紙藝工作，從傳統產業轉型，發展紙與紙工藝、印刷這方面的技術與知識，在園區裡舉凡文具、日常用品，甚至是皮夾、帽子，就連飲料包裝都是四四方方的紙盒，民眾大呼驚 奇之外，也憂心樹木的數量會越來越少。黃芳亮表示，他們把紙漿當作一種農作物，是去種的，需要多少用量就種多少樹，來取得紙漿。黃芳亮的創意發想，使遊客 絡繹不絕，他希望遊客不單只是遊玩而已，他也負著教育的使命感，想讓民眾知道紙的技術以及製作的過程。
