At the bustling Taipei Train Station, a heavily laden travel case shuttles through the crowds of people. However, this travel case doesn't contain the usual holiday articles, but instead an array of Indonesian books. In order to ensure that migrant workers from Southeast Asia have the opportunity to read books, one Southeast Asian bookshop in the city has set up this stall offering books to borrow each Sunday.

In addition to having its own stall position, the bookshop has also teamed up with a restaurant, which allows users of the restaurant to read too. New immigrants using the restaurant can not only enjoy authentic Southeast Asia food but also browse through a book of their interest. The Southeast Asia Themed Bookstore is continually creating new opportunities for new immigrants to read and find freedom of the mind through the familiarity of one’s native language, so that though far from home, they can still feel the warmth of their homeland.
