Swing Taiwan – New possibilities in social interaction through dance

Each Friday evening, you can now enjoy a banquet of social dance in an activity called Swing Dance at Huashan1914 Creative Park (華山藝文中心). Organizer, Swing Taiwan, hopes to create a new place in Huashan where ordinary hard-working people can come together to relax and interact. Founder of Swing Taiwan, Lin Han-wei (林漢威), believes that Taiwan lacks a good environment for social interaction and hopes to improve this thorough Swing Dance. In addition to creating an atmosphere conducive to dancing, Swing Dance also provides basic dance instruction to novices, so that everyone can learn basic dancing skills and has the opportunity to make new friends through dance. At Swing Dance, two people without any former acquaintance are able to see each other's smile in in just one or two short hours. This multicultural and open-minded dance culture, which allows people to temporarily put technology aside and embrace an entirely new kind of social life, is bringing people from different places and countries together with a common aspiration.
