The 13th PeoPo Citizen Journalism Awards was held on December 21st. Co-hosted by PTS and The Foundation for Excellent Journalism Award, the event is designed to encourage outstanding citizen reporting. This year's entries covered a gamut of topics from animal protection and cultural heritage to environmental conservation, labor issues, and youth returning home, etc.

Divided into social groups and student groups, short reports and special news reports, a total of 179 works were registered for this year's awards, providing a unique perspective on the news through the eyes of ordinary people. PTS Chairperson, Chen Yu-xiu, said, "Not all journalists are able to penetrate so deeply into the community to understand local characteristics and life. Thanks to a diverse range of news reports from citizen journalists of all ages, PTS is able to broadcast news stories that display the vitality of Taiwan.”
