The most precious part of browsing the PeoPo Citizen Journalism Platform is seeing issues that the mainstream media don't cover. Since July, a street movement has swept across Thailand, demanding constitutional reform to limit the Thai royal family's power and give more democratic rights to the people. The people of Taiwan have shown solidarity with the street movement, and two citizen journalists covered support rallies in August and September of this year, hoping that through PeoPo Webcast, more awareness will be raised about the situation in Thailand.

Issues related to international politics have received relatively little attention in Taiwan's mainstream television media, and so there has been little opportunity for Taiwan's NGOs to raise support activities. However, thanks to two citizen journalists' concerns, many people have become aware of this issue, again demonstrating the indispensable value of citizen journalism.
